Commonly Asked Questions

​In-Person Registration:

If you plan to attend services in person but haven't had a chance to register online, a registration table will be on-site. Walk-ups are always welcome!

For Online Attendees:
If you are watching online, you can access the prayer book here. Feel free to view it on another device or print it for your convenience.

Accessibility:

The Jewish Community Center East Bay has ADA-accessible entrances and restrooms. Please contact us via email with any additional access needs. 

Covid protocols:

Masks are not required, though they are encouraged indoors. If you are experiencing any symptoms of a potentially contagious illness, please stay home and access our services virtually.

Parking:

Parking passes are available to download and print here. Printouts will also be available on-site at the JCC. Passes are not necessary for evening services. Parking passes are valid only in spaces without meters. Please do not park in any parking lots or driveways, as your vehicle may be towed. Be sure to lock your car and secure your belongings. Jewish Gateways and the JCC are not responsible for stolen items.

Security:

Security will be on-site before, during, and after services.

Weather:

If you plan to sit outdoors in the courtyard during services, please dress for the weather or bring a blanket. There will be heat lamps, but Bay Area weather can be unpredictable.

Support Families in Our Community:

We will be collecting donations for the family transitional housing shelter at the Greater Richmond Interfaith Partnership (GRIP). As you prepare for the High Holidays, please consider what you can do to help GRIP’s efforts to support the families in our community. Please bring the following needed items to services and place them in the designated containers on-site.

  • School Supplies

    • Spiral Notebooks

    • Pencils, Markers, Crayons, Erasers

    • Binder Paper

    • Rulers

  • Non-Perishable Items

    • Sandwich Bags​

    • Brown Paper Lunch Bags

    • Napkins

    • Fruit or Applesauce Cups

    • Granola Bars

    • Snack Size Bags of Cookies
